スリランカの全島野球試合に参加して、 多くの賞 を勝ち得ました。 10才以下クラスでは優勝をし、こ の学校の4名の選手が最優秀選手に選ばれました。 20才以下クラスでも、 同じ年のシード挑戦権を獲得 しました。 この好成績を挙げたのはコーチとして試 合にのぞんだChandima Jayasekara 氏のおかげで、 その名をあげておきます。 ルフナ大学医学部の上級 講師であるTilak Weerasuriya教授および奥様の Weerasuriya 教授の招待によって、日本の尾張旭 ロータリークラブの代表がわが校を訪問し、30万RS 相当の野球道具を寄贈し、 選手一同に多大の激励を 与えたことを感謝します。

We have won many awards at All-Island Base-Ball Matches. We were the under 16 Champions in Base-Ball, and four bestplayers in the entire yournament were from this college.
During the same year under 20 yers challenge shield was won by students of the college. It is my duty to mention the name of Mr. Chandima Jayasekara who was the coach devoted for
upliftment of the game. A delegation from a Rotary Club of Japan visited us on an invitation made by Dr. Tilak Weerasuriya & Dr. Mrs. T. Weerasuriya (Senior Lecturers of the Medical Faculty of
Ruhunu University) and they donated equipment worth Rs. 300,000/= for this game and it is appreciated as
encouragement for the players.
